Summary

This project focused on turning an underused area into a functional laundry closet. The homeowner wanted better storage, improved access, and a finished look that blended with the rest of the home.

The Work

Removed an existing interior wall to open up the space and disposed of all debris
Repaired drywall, patched holes, and sanded surfaces to ensure a smooth, paint-ready finish
Painted the wall with two coats after prepping and addressing surface flaws
Installed a white vinyl double-layer accordion door for flexible access
Added a folding ironing top board, two shelves, and a new drawer for practical storage
Adjusted a kitchen cabinet to fit a new dishwasher, ensuring all cabinetry was level and secure

The Outcome

The closet now offers streamlined storage and a polished appearance. With the new door and shelving, it's easier to keep laundry tasks organized while maintaining a neat visual profile in the home.
